The Normandie-Niemen Fighter Regiment

From December 4th (13:00 UTC) to December 10th (13:00 UTC), you can get rewards for completing tasks.

Normandie-Niemen is a legendary French fighter regiment that fought on the Eastern Front from 1943 to 1945 and became a symbol of combat brotherhood between France and the USSR.

The regiment was formed in 1942 under the name Groupe de Chasse 3 "Normandie" at the suggestion of General Charles de Gaulle, leader of the Free French Forces. The first group of 14 French volunteer pilots arrived in the USSR in November 1942 and soon afterwards, on December 4th, they were incorporated into the Soviet Air Forces. The pilots underwent training and mastered Soviet fighter aircraft.

The French pilots participated in many important battles, such as the Battle of Kursk, Operation Bagration, the East Prussian offensive and the Battle of Königsberg. The regiment flew Yak-1, Yak-3 and Yak-9 fighters and demonstrated outstanding results in aerial combat.

During the war, the regiment completed 5,240 sorties and claimed 273 confirmed aerial victories. Four French pilots were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

Tasks

Phase 1 (December 4th - December 6th):

• Destroy 2 vehicles.
• Kill 20 enemies using a vehicle.
• Complete 4 battles.

Phase 2 (December 6th - December 8th):

• Destroy 4 vehicles.
• Kill 40 enemies using a vehicle.
• Complete 4 battles.

Phase 3 (December 8th - December 10th):

• Destroy 5 vehicles.
• Kill 60 enemies using a vehicle.
• Complete 4 battles.

Terms

• The tasks can be completed in the Squads mode.
• The list of tasks is updated every two days at 13:00 UTC.
• Tasks can be completed simultaneously.
• Uncollected rewards will disappear when the tasks change.
• From December 10th to December 12th (13:00 UTC), after the end of the event, you will have the opportunity to purchase any missing rewards for Gold.
