New battlefield - Omaha

Commanders, the upcoming "Operation Neptune" major update will bring you new weapons, vehicles, features, customization pieces, animations, effects and on top of all, a new location.

June 6, 1944, marks the day of the largest amphibious operation in history - the Normandy landings, most commonly referred to as D-Day. As part of the update named after the operation, we are preparing a completely new location dedicated to this event, inspired by the Omaha and Sword beaches.

Seasoned players have already fought countless times on the fortified beaches of Normandy - a location with steep slopes and fortifications that present a difficult challenge for the attackers while they advance uphill. In contrast, the new location will feature more flat and varied terrain. Batteries, trenches, pillboxes, barbed wire and shell craters will provide cover and tactical options for both sides on the coast.

However, the battles will unfold not only on the beaches but also in various parts of Normandy as well. In the urban areas, you will encounter defensive lines reinforced with fortifications, multi-story buildings and roads ravaged by artillery fire. Danger could be lurking around every corner!

In the smaller rural areas that weren't prepared for an offensive, bushes and trees will serve as your primary cover: use them wisely to give yourself the edge over the enemy.

We haven't forgotten about the industrial and agricultural areas either. Farms, factories and warehouses will offer their own unique combat environments, forcing you to change your tactics on the fly.

What will happen to the old location? Nothing. Its missions will remain in rotation and we'll evaluate how these Normandy maps measure up against each other. That said, we know that you can't wait to check out the new location, so for a certain period of time after the update's release, the chance of getting the new missions will be increased.
